“Our new kitchen has changed how we live” Ian Amos, a firefighter with a partner, who works in media, have moved into a detached house in New Forest, Hampshire. They recently constructed an extension for their new kitchen.

 What do you want to accomplish?

 I love to cook I love to cook, and we wanted lots of space for food preparation and a spacious island to provide a sociable space to dine and relax. We decided to avoid wall units due to our desire to make the room feel more spacious.

 What was your reasoning when choosing the latest units?

 How did you get started?

 We hired an architect to design designs for the extension. We also had underfloor heating installed as well as a wooden floor.

 Tell us about your concerns.

 The foundations digging for the extension appeared to take for a long time as so much soil was taken away.   Keep going, even when it’s difficult to see the finishing line. While it may seem like the race won’t be over however, it does.

 Did you accomplish all you wanted?

 My vision is being realized. I’m extremely happy to have such a large space to cook in and to entertain in. It’s completely changed how we live.

 What is it that you like most about this space?

 The Corian worktops are my absolute favorite. We have ample storage options, so clutter can be controlled. The lighting under the worktop was a fantastic improvement. It makes the room more lively when it is dark.
